Privacy Policy

Effective August 30, 2026

This policy explains how Sean Behan, operating as codebam (“codebam”), handles personal information when you visit codebam.ca, purchase the Cloudflare Workers Production Kit, download a purchased release, or contact codebam.

Information collected

Site visits

Cloudflare processes technical request information needed to deliver and protect the site. This can include your IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, timestamps, and security signals. codebam does not use advertising pixels or third-party analytics and does not intentionally set analytics or advertising cookies. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary security technologies as part of its service.

Purchases

Stripe collects the information shown in Checkout, which can include your name, email address, billing address, payment details, tax information, and transaction information. Stripe acts as merchant of record when Stripe Managed Payments covers the transaction. codebam does not receive or store your full payment-card details.

For fulfillment and access control, codebam receives your Checkout email address and stores Stripe Checkout Session, Payment Intent, and event identifiers; the purchased product and release; fulfillment status; an email-delivery message identifier; and relevant timestamps. The fulfillment table does not store your email address.

The private download link contains a Stripe Checkout Session identifier. Treat that link as a bearer credential and do not publish or share it.

Communications

If you email codebam, the message, your email address, and related correspondence are used to answer your request and maintain an appropriate support record.

How information is used

Information is used to:

  • provide and secure the site;
  • process, verify, and fulfill purchases;
  • send purchase and download messages;
  • confirm license and update eligibility;
  • reject access after a refund, partial refund, or dispute;
  • investigate abuse, fraud, security incidents, and delivery failures;
  • respond to support, privacy, and legal requests; and
  • meet accounting, tax, dispute, and other legal obligations.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing is based on performing the purchase contract, your consent, compliance with legal obligations, and codebam’s legitimate interests in operating and securing the service.

Service providers and disclosure

codebam uses Stripe for Checkout, payments, tax handling, fraud controls, and transaction records, and Cloudflare for hosting, storage, database services, security, observability, and fulfillment email. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies and may process it outside your province or country.

codebam does not sell or rent personal information. Information may be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights or security, to investigate fraud or abuse, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate protections.

Retention

Order identifiers and fulfillment records are retained as reasonably needed to provide licensed access, document the transaction, handle refunds and disputes, and meet accounting or legal obligations. Support correspondence is retained while needed to resolve the request and maintain appropriate records. Infrastructure and security logs follow the retention settings of the relevant Cloudflare service.

Information is deleted or de-identified when it is no longer reasonably needed, unless law requires or permits longer retention.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to or correction of your personal information, ask for deletion, withdraw consent where processing depends on consent, or complain about how information is handled. These rights can be limited by transaction-record, security, legal, or technical requirements.

Send requests to codebam@codebam.ca. Enough information may be requested to verify that the request concerns you. For payment details held by Stripe, use the privacy controls or contact information in Stripe’s privacy policy.

Security

codebam uses access controls, signed Stripe webhooks, private object storage, payment-state checks, and restricted caching around commerce routes. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Changes

This policy may be updated when the service or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes apply prospectively and will be posted on this page.
